The story behind the name "Dementia Doggo"

If you’ve found your way to our store, you might have paused at the name — Dementia Doggo. And that’s exactly what we hoped for.

Because behind this quirky, tail-wagging brand is a deeply personal story — one that belongs to our Chief Snacc Officer and forever best friend, Bella 🐶

Bella is a 15-and-a-half-year-old Cavoodle, and the absolute heart of our home. Over the last 6 months, she’s been living with doggy dementia — a condition that affects her memory, her routine, and sometimes even her sense of place. But dementia is just one part of her story.

Bella is also about 70% blind and deaf, has had a hip replacement, and manages Addison’s disease with daily medication. Her body may be slowing down, but her spirit? Still full of love, sass, and a suspiciously accurate snacc radar.

Through all her challenges, Bella remains the most loyal, gentle, and treat-obsessed companion we could ask for. She still gets excited at the smell of beef, snoozes in sun patches like a pro, and wags her tail when she hears (or senses) her humans nearby.

We named Dementia Doggo in her honour — as a way to celebrate dogs like Bella: older, wiser, maybe a little wonky, but endlessly lovable.

Our mission is simple:
